My name is Isolde van Meerten. Since a few years I'm interested in art.
I often visit musea and watch documentaries about art and artists. This is how I developed my love for 'weird art': art that is hard to wrap your brain around, outside reality and therefore challenging.

Never before I thought that I could make art myself. Until 2016. One idea after another popped up in my mind and I couldn't resist them. Since then I make assemblage art with all sorts of stuff such as barbies, branches, small sculptures, paint and wool. I often find them in thrift shops or sometimes on the street.

All my artwork is called after a song. You can use it to understand my work better if you like to. Sometimes I'm inspired by a song to make a new piece, sometimes I make something and look for a fitting song later.
