Participating Gorcums Golden Age-NOW!

Almost there! Between September 15th and October 20th, 2018 I participate in art project Gorcums Golden Age-NOW!

Over 30 artists are inspired by a painting made in the Golden Age, painted by artists from Gorinchem. All the artwork will be exposed in the city centre of Gorinchem in shop windows and cultural centres. A city map will guide you along all the art works.

I choose the painting ‘Musicians’ by Gerard van Kuijl. You can check out my creation in the shop window of Theater De Vijf Zinnen. What it will look like… I keep that a secret for now!

Presentation art project ‘The Connection 2017’ at Kunstcafé Drechtsteden

At September 2nd 2017 I presented the first edition of art project ‘De Verbinding’ [The Connection] at Kunstcafé Drechtsteden. All 14 participants were inspired by an artwork of one of the other participants. Beautiful and interesting pieces of art were made.

Of course I also created a work myself. I made ‘Pray’ inspired by a painting made by Thea van Gent.

Weekly ‘Weekblad De Brug’ published an article at September 6th, 2017. It offers more information about ‘De Verbinding’.

The Art Weeks at primary school ‘De Tweestroom’ have ended. Weekly ‘Weekblad De Brug’ dedicated an article to it in which my name was mentioned as one of the participating artists.

Nice! On Monday March 6, 2017 I was invited to explain more about my artwork in front of all school classes of primary school ‘De Tweestroom’. Together with two fellow artists it took two sessions to inform all the children. They were very interested and asked great questions. In the coming weeks they will make their own artwork during the Art Weeks, that have officially started on this morning.

Pop Up Exhibition in Cascade

Exciting! On February 4th, 2017 I showed my artwork for the first time to the world. I choose Kunstcafé Drechtsteden in Cascade as the right place to do so. What sort of reactions would I receive?
